An initial consultation will be carried out where your full medical history will be assessed as well as other potential lifestyle issues and from there a treatment plan will be created for you, and a selection of points will be made to carry out the acupuncture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The original theory behind Acupuncture is that the healthy functioning body is governed by the flow of \u201cqi\u201d (often translated as \u201cenergy\u201d) through a system of channels under the skin. When this flow of qi is impaired, illness occurs. Blockages in the flow of qi can manifest as pain, hot or cold sensations, or colour changes. These signs, along with pulse and tongue diagnosis can help determine which points and channels are most suitable for treatment. By inserting fine needles at various points along the channels, the body\u2019s balance can be restored and the illness resolved.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Treating the patient as an individual is at the core of acupuncture treatment and is vital in successfully assisting the body to rebalance itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
